My job, as your sex educator can provide valuable support and guidance to clients looking to begin experimenting with kink in several ways:
1. Education on Kink Basics: They can introduce clients to foundational concepts of kink, including various types of kinks, BDSM practices, and common terminology. This helps clients understand what interests them and what they might explore. 
2. Emphasis on Consent: Educators can teach the importance of informed consent, emphasizing that all parties must agree to engage in any kink activities. They can discuss verbal and non-verbal consent and methods for negotiating boundaries and limits. 
3. Safety Guidelines: They can provide information about safety precautions, including physical safety (like using safe words, having limits, and employing safe equipment) and emotional safety (promoting aftercare and discussing emotional triggers). 
4. Resources and Tools: Sex educators can recommend books, websites, or workshops that provide further learning about kink practices. They may also suggest joining local or online communities for support and shared experiences. 
5. Exploration of Personal Interests: They can guide clients in reflecting on their interests and desires, helping them identify the types of kinks they might want to explore and discussing their feelings around these interests.

I have so many thoughts this morning, it was hard to focus on the biggest take away. Many of the negative comments always have a way of centering back around my body, and the dose of body shaming is always lurking in the background. I post pictures, which show less than bathing suits, because I want people, to see women who have joy and pleasure around their bodies. This alone, is such an act of defiance in today’s world, it is why it elicits such backlash. The simple act of me owning the power around my own body, which is one of the most sex positive things we can do, causes actual heads to spin.

Joy and pleasure being in our bodies is the greatest act of self love we can have. It is in itself an act of defiance in purity cultures, which absolutely works to shame, silence, and make women smaller. A huge amount of sexual dissatisfaction revolves around body image and body shame difficulties. The vast majority of women clients I will work with, will be overcoming so much of this ingrained messaging we have heard, so many times, we can’t separate that noise out from our own thoughts.

Bodies aren’t bad, nasty, or gross. Seeing women own their power around their own bodies is powerful, beautiful, and is to celebrated.

This picture brings me great pleasure, it’s my empowering visualization, unbothered and drinking champagne, bathing in the pissed off tears of the haters. What I do hope, this picture inspires the women who are tired of their own tears around these incredibly important topics, to flip the script! I want you bathing in the joy, pleasure, and connection this life has to offer. And if helps to imagine those tears of the pissed off patriarchy every time a women l pissed of patriarchy every time a women learns to love the skin she is in, sis, use this as your fuel!!

I’m honored, thrilled, proud, and yes, full of pleasure, to go on this journey with you. After all, what is life if we aren’t here to enjoy the pleasure connection. <3
